The YWCA Hamilton Women of Distinction Awards are presented to recognize the leadership of women who contribute to the development and well-being of other women and to the overall improvement of the community.
A Woman of Distinction is someone who has made important and significant community contributions through her vision, leadership and determination. Through professional, volunteer or personal activities, she builds community capacity, inspires others and mobilizes the community to improve the quality of life for women and her entire community. YWCA Hamilton's Women of Distinction Awards are nationally recognized as one of the most prestigious awards for women. YWCAs from all across Canada join in the celebration each year, honouring the achievements of women.
